GENERAL CHARACTER INFORMATION.

A couple of tidbits I want to put down for my own and other's benefit. While Crow does get details about him hashed out, he's not completely extrapolated on, and what we know are essentially basics. So I'm going to put this all together to keep track!

  • First off, Crow looks like this. Yeah. He's lame. His outfit is essentially a collage of anything he's picked up that seems mildly interesting and shiny. If he thinks its looks cool, he's putting it on his outfit--just like a crow would.

  • While Crow seems human, he isn't. His insides aren't anything like a human's either. We don't like, pull him apart or anything in game (WHY) but there are robot things that he compares himself to when he figures out what he is. Those are fully metal inside. He's pretty sturdy, as the fall from the Ferris Wheel indicates, so it's no weak metal.

  • Speaking of what he is, Crow is an amnesiac, and therefore doesn't know whether he's human or not! Crow's never had any interactions with humans outside of books before he met Seto, so I think the reason he so closely regards him during their first meeting is due to his need to compare this actual human, Seto, with what he's read in books... and also with Crow himself! (He does this in Haven too because there's lots of humans here, and he wants to see how they're all different, if they're all the same). While I don't think Crow particularly feels like he's human (he seems distant when referencing their behaviours, but I don't think he looks down on them outside of playful jests. Seto's human, after all, and he thinks a lot about Seto), I don't think he can say with outright certainty that he isn't. If anything, the only assumption he makes is that he's something "alive" (hence his disappointment when he meets Seto again and reveals he really wasn't anything but a bunch of parts), though he's not too sure what being "alive" entails yet.

  • Crow isn't as driven for companionship as Seto is (no one can beat that), but he's also pretty far from a lone wolf. I'd say what drives him first is a sense of curiosity and discovery, but he doesn't cover up signs of agreement or appreciation unless there is some reason to tease, or if his sense of Cool is being poked at.

  • Speaking of discovery, Crow loves adventure! His method of play with Seto is a mischievous game of tag, and his favorite book is a Pirate Adventure (Pirate Isle), which he picked up a lot of his behaviours from.

  • As for picking up on what you read, Crow has kind of a bad sense of What To Do in certain social situations and What Not To Do. The books he reads regard friendship with a lot of positivity, hence his loyalty, so he knows vaguely what being a good friend entails--but the books he reads are about silly kids doing silly things, so when he starts out with people it's probably with him, a silly kid, doing a silly thing. That's just what he Knows to do, and how his sense of self has developed.

  • Despite his childish impulses, however, he can be a nice, reassuring person--heading back to the previous point. Crow's a good friend, he's just not a good stranger.

  • He gives gifts to people he trusts, and kisses to friends. He made such a quick connection with Seto due to Seto being the First Human he's met and the First Person he's made interaction with (thus verifying some of the conceptions he'd had from books, or some things he's probably imagined), and also the First Person who ever cared for him. I don't think he'll make a friend as quickly as he did with Seto, but he's certainly not a hard person to win over.
